InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Pointcorp, have signed a management agreement for a new build Hotel Indigo, to be located in Brisbane’s cultural and creative heartbeat – Fortitude Valley. The 140-room hotel on 458 Brunswick Street is the first Hotel Indigo signing for Australia and New Zealand and is due to open in 2020.

As part of a visit to Mexico, Arne Sorenson, President and CEO of Marriott International, Inc., last week, announced the signing of four hotels in the country. Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) has reached a franchise agreement with VHM Management Sp. z o.o. to open a second hotel in the city of Lodz. Construction has begun of a mixed tower block on Piotrowska Street which will see the 149 guest room Hampton by Hilton Lodz open in early 2018.
