Tropical Smoothie Cafe announced today it signed a franchise development agreement with industry veterans Bill Rubyand Greg Powell to expand its presence in South Carolina. The partners will be opening six new cafes throughout the Upstate area, with the first location expected to open in Greenville during the first quarter of 2017.

Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR) last week announced it has completed the sale of The St. Regis San Francisco hotel for approximately $175 million to Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). Marriott will continue to manage the hotel under a long-term management contract.
