Marriott to Double Its Luxury Footprint In Asia Pacific

Marriott International today unveiled plans to double its luxury presence in Asia Pacific by adding more than 100 luxury hotels to its current footprint of 113 luxury properties. Announced at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) conference in Shanghai, this represents over half of the company’s global growth in this category.

Cambria Hotels Surpasses 100 Hotels Open and in the Pipeline

Cambria now has 30 hotels open across the United States, and more than 70 in the pipeline. Four hotels have opened in 2017 and 10 more will open by the end of the year. In addition, 18 ground breakings and multiple executed franchise agreements are expected.

Summit Hotel Properties to Acquire 5 Hotel Portfolio from Xenia Hotels For $163 Million

ummit Hotel Properties, Inc. (NYSE: INN) and Xenia Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: XHR) today announced that the companies have executed a definitive agreement for an affiliate of Summit to acquire an 812-guestroom, five-hotel portfolio from Xenia for a total purchase price of $163 million, or approximately $201,000 per key.
