Marriott International Announces the Signing of Four New Hotels in Mexico

As part of a visit to Mexico, Arne Sorenson, President and CEO of Marriott International, Inc., last week, announced the signing of four hotels in the country. Following an aggressive expansion strategy in one of the region’s key markets, Marriott expects to add the new properties to its existing portfolio of 70 hotels.

Hampton by Hilton Lodz Hotel to Open 2018 in Poland

Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) has reached a franchise agreement with VHM Management Sp. z o.o. to open a second hotel in the city of Lodz. Construction has begun of a mixed tower block on Piotrowska Street which will see the 149 guest room Hampton by Hilton Lodz open in early 2018.

133 Room AC Hotel by Marriott Planned for Pittsburgh

Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company announced last week that it plans to open Pittsburgh’s first AC Hotel by Marriott in the trendy Strip District in downtown Pittsburgh. Construction began on the new 133-room hotel, AC Hotel by Marriott Smallman, last week.
