Formerly the tallest hotel in Europe, it remains an imposing presence on Moscow's skyline and commands still more imperious views. Situated directly on the banks of the Moskva River, it's one of the capital's 'Seven Sisters', a family of much-vaunted neoclassical skyscrapers.
